# Article VI: Code of Conduct

All community members shall adhere to a code of conduct adopted by an approved proposal as set forth herein and implemented by the Council of Guardians.

Such code shall promote respect, integrity, and collaboration.

Such code shall use this Constitution, ratified by the Gnodi Blockchain community, as its guiding document for decentralized governance, and will conform to its principles of sovereignty, transparency, equity, and innovation, along with logistical considerations within the organization.

A member’s failure to act in accordance with such code of conduct may result in a sanction, including that member’s suspension or expulsion from the community and the revocation of their node. <br>

Any sanction shall be rendered by the Council of Guardians acting by a majority of its members with no interest, financial or otherwise, in the implementation of such sanction. and will be carried out under their direction.

The community may, in connection with the process described herein, propose and adopt a Disciplinary Code to serve as guidance for any such sanctions. If no such Disciplinary Code is adopted, the implementation and content of any sanctions shall be in the reasonable discretion of the Council of Guardians. Such Code may provide for a process to appeal any decision to the Gnodi Blockchain. In the event no such provision exists in any Disciplinary Code, then the decision of the Council of Guardians shall be final.
